Orlando City Attractions
Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World encompasses not one, but four of the world’s most elaborate theme parks. If you are traveling with very young children or just enjoy classic Disney magic, Magic Kingdom is the best of Orlando attractions. Opened in 1971 this theme park is most closely attuned to Walt Disney’s original. Epcot, a permanent world’s fair with an emphasis on technology and world culture was opened in 1982. Universal Studios and Disney- MGM Studios were opened in 1989. They have rides and shows inspired by television and the movies. A state-of-the-art zoo, Animal Kingdom with its naturalistic habitats and an array of rides and attractions was opened in 1998.

Universal Orlando
A much newer place of Orlando Attractions, Universal Orlando emphasizes on cutting-edge technology. Rides like Revenge of the Mummy and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man pioneered a new level of realism and excitement. It consists of two theme parks: Universal Studios, opened in 1990 and Island of Adventures, opened in 1999. City Walk, an entertainment district with restaurants, nightclubs and shops is situated between the two and serves as a gateway for visitors. We have great Orlando hotels near Universal Studios. |
Sea World
With three exciting rides including Kraken a floorless roller coaster, Sea World is much more than the world’s foremost aquarium. Come face to face with Shamu and feed dolphins at Sea World Orlando. Because the Emphasis is on shows and exhibits rather than rides, there tend to be fewer lines and a more easygoing pace than at Disney World or Universal. |
Kennedy Space Center
Kennedy Space Center boasts a great deal of space history and is now ready to return to flight with the launch of the space shuttle. The Visitor Complex is a great place to spend a day while visiting Cocoa Beach or Orlando on your Florida vacation. Stay at the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Resort on your next trip to the Space Center. |
Gatorland
One is Orlando’s oldest and least crowded attractions, is the gloriously low-tech Gatorland. Gatorland was opened in 1949. This 55 acre combination gator farm, exotic zoo, and wetlands is still the best place to have your Florida alligator experience. Gatorland is a working gator farm, with about a thousand gators sent to market each week. There are classic entertainments like the Gator Jumparoo Show, where gators leap out of water like trained dolphins to snag chicken from trainer’s hands. It opens daily from 9am till dusk.

Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is only 90 minutes west of Orlando and easily reached via I-4. It is a large park with too many must see exhibits and roller coasters including the new SheiKra, scheduled to open in Spring 2005. The Tampa attraction is home to more than 700 animals living in their own environment and has won numerous industry awards for their authenticity. The park rangers offer animal shows, sporadic enrichment exercises timed to coincide with feeding, grooming, and caring for some of the 320 species that call the park home. |
MGM - Studios
MGM- Studios is Disney World’s answer to riding the movies. Opened in 1989, the Hollywood theme appeals to folks of every age. It has rides and shows inspired by television and the movies There are good shows, lots of character greetings, several interesting restaurants, and two of Disney’s hairiest thrill rides – Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Our Orlando hotels have transportation to MGM studios. |
Universal Studios
Universal Studios was opened in 1989. Inspired by the romance and technology of Hollywood movies, Universal has created a state-of-the-art theme park with white- knuckle rides, lively shows and a bevy of familiar characters. Sections of the park are designed to double as movie sets, and there are several soundstages run by Nickelodeon Studios, where television programs are taped for the popular children’s network. The big 3-D attraction features Arnold Schwarzenegger battling killer robots on a mission to exterminate the human race. For an action-packed adventure, don’t miss Universal Studios on your Orlando vacation. |
